Prof.Mohammad S. Obaidat

Life Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of AAIA and Fellow of SCS

University of Jordan, Jordan

Professor Mohammad S. Obaidat is an internationally known academic/researcher/scientist/ scholar. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, Columbus, USA. He has received extensive research funding and published To Date (2023) over One Thousand (1,200) refereed technical articles-About half of them are journal articles, over 100 books, and over 70 Book Chapters. He is Editor-in-Chief of 3 scholarly journals and an editor of many other international journals.  He is the founding Editor-in Chief of Wiley Security and Privacy Journal.  Moreover, he is founder or co-founder of 5 IEEE International Conferences. 

Among his previous positions are Advisor to the President of Philadelphia University for Research, Development and Information Technology, President and Chair of Board of Directors of the Society for Molding and Simulation International(SCS), Senior Vice President of SCS, SCS VP for Membership and SCS VP for Conferences, Dean of the College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University, Founding Dean of the College of Computing and Informatics at The University of Sharjah, Chair and tenured Professor at the Department of Computer and Information Science and Director of the MS Graduate Program in Data Analytics at Fordham university, Chair and tenured Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Director of the Graduate Program at Monmouth University, Chair and Professor of Computer Science Department at University of Texas-Permian Basin, Distinguished Professor at IIT-Dhanbad, Tenured Full Professor at King Abdullah II School of Information Technology (KASIT), University of Jordan, The PR of China Ministry of Education Distinguished Overseas Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China and an Honorary Distinguished Professor at the Amity University- A Global University. He is now a Distinguished Professor at KASIT, University of Jordan.

He has chaired numerous (Over 185) international conferences and has given numerous (Over 185) keynote speeches worldwide. He has served as ABET/CSAB evaluator and on IEEE CS Fellow Evaluation Committee. He has served as IEEE CS Distinguished Speaker/Lecturer and an ACM Distinguished Lecturer. Since 2004 has been serving as an SCS Distinguished Lecturer. He received many best paper awards for his papers including ones from IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom, AICSA, CITS, SPECTS, DCNET, IEEE ICCCA, International conferences. He also received Best Paper awards from IEEE Systems Journal in 2018 and in 2019 (2 Best Paper Awards). In 2020, he received 4 best paper awards from IEEE Systems Journal and also in 2021 received the best paper award from IEEE Systems Journal. 

During his tenure as Founding Dean of College of computing and Informatics at University of Sharjah, the Computer Sciences program has been ranked by Times for Higher Education (THE) as NUMBER 1 in UAE and for the first time in the history of the University. 

He also received many other worldwide awards for his technical contributions including: The 2018 IEEE ComSoc-Technical Committee on Communications Software 2018 Technical Achievement Award for contribution to Cybersecurity, Wireless Networks Computer Networks and Modeling and Simulation, SCS prestigious McLeod Founder's Award , Presidential Service Award, SCS Hall of Fame –Lifetime Achievement Award for his technical contribution to modeling and simulation and for his outstanding visionary leadership and dedication to increasing the effectiveness and broadening the applications of modeling and simulation worldwide. He also received the SCS Outstanding Service Award. He was awarded the IEEE CITS Hall of Fame Distinguished and Eminent Award.  

He also received the Nokia Distinguished Fellowship Award and Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Award, among others.

He was ranked recently by research.com agency as number ONE Computer Scientist and number ONE Scholar in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in Jordan.

In recognition of his significant scientific contribution, Springer published in 2022 a book honoring his contributions in Computing, Informatics, Networking and Cybersecurity. It is entitled: Advances in Computing, Informatics, Networking and Cybersecurity - A Book Honoring Professor Mohammad S. Obaidat’s Significant Scientific Contributions. Prof. Obaidat is a Life Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of AAIA and a Fellow of SCS.

Prof.Shoudao Huang

Hunan University, China

Prof.Shoudao Huang is a second-class professor of Hunan University, a special professor of "Yuelu Scholar", a doctoral supervisor, and the director of Yuelu Key Laboratory of Power Transmission and New Power Generation. He enjoys the special allowance of the State Council; he is also the chairman of the working group for standardization of magnetic materials and equipment in China, a senior member of IEEE, an executive director of Chinese Electrotechnical Society, a chairman of Hunan Electrotechnical Society, a chairman of Hunan Renewable Energy Society, etc. He was awarded the first "Excellent Graduate Tutor" in Hunan Province in 2019. 

Prof.Shoudao Huang has been engaged in scientific research and teaching of special motors for a long time. Over the past 30 years, he has created a variety of permanent magnet motor design and control methods around special permanent magnet motors and large direct-drive wind power generation technology, and has broken through a number of core key technologies, and the research results have been widely used and industrialized, generating significant economic and social benefits. The research results have been widely used and industrialized, resulting in significant economic and social benefits. The research results has won one National Technical Invention Second Prize, three National Science and Technology Progress Second Prizes, six Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress First Prizes, published four monographs, more than 100 high-level papers, and authorized 76 national invention patents.


Dr. Gregory Joseph Duns

AIRCHEM CONSULTING & RESEARCH, Canada

Dr.Gregory Joseph Duns is a Chief Scientist and Advisor in the AIRCHEM CONSULTING & RESEARCH, Canada and a visiting professor and foreign expert in School of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering, Institute of Bioengineering, Institute of Coastal Biological Resources in Nanjing Tech University. He received his Master of Science degree in University of Waterloo , Ph.D. in Chemistry from McMaster University.

Among his previous positions are professor in School of Biological and Chemical Engineering, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (2010-2011), Professor in Institute of Bioengineering, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (2006-2009), Adjunct Professor in Department of Plant Agriculture, UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH, Ontario, Canada (1999-2005), Former Research Scientist, Agriculture and Food Laboratory Services, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (1995- 2002), etc.

His research interests include Research on novel biomass materials; determination of chemical and physical properties of biomass materials and their practical applications in industry; methods for enhancing the yield of plant biomass resources. Development and application of analytical chemistry instrumentation methods; quantitative and qualitative analysis of trace compounds and studies of volatile, semi-volatile and odorous compounds in food, agricultural and environmental samples.

Dr. Elingarami Sauli

Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology,  Tanzania

Dr. Elingarami Sauliv is a Lecturer at the Department of Life Science and Bioengineering at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, Tanzania. He is also a member of Medical Council of Tanganyika. He received his Bachelor degree in medicine from St. Petersburg State Pavlov Medical University, Master degree in biomedical science from Linkoping University, Ph.D. in Southeast University.

His scientific areas of interest are: Molecular epidemiology of cancer and other non communicable diseases and Biomarker diagnosis.


Dr.Matt Bawn

Dr. Elingarami Sauliv is a research assistant at Institute of Earlham and Institute of Quadram, USA. His scientific areas of interest are: (1) Apply bioinformatics solutions to research problems related to evolution. Bacterial pathogens interact with environment, host and horizontal gene transfer and their impact on human health. (2) Evolution of pathogenic microorganisms and its impact on epidemiology. (3) The application of single cell whole genome sequencing in in vitro evolution research.


Dr. Miranda Byrne-Steele

iRepertoire Inc, USA

She received his Bachelor degree in chemistry from University of South Alabama,  Ph.D. in University of Alabama in Huntsville.She has been a postdoctoral researcher, senior research scientist in iRepertoire, Inc. Now she is a director of R&D and Operation in iRepertoire Inc. Her main research interests is develop and optimize methods for rapid identification and characterization of antigen specific reactions.


Dr.Taoyang Wu,

University of East Anglia, UK

Dr. Taoyang Wu is a lecturer at University of East Anglia, UK.

He received his Bachelor degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, Master degree in Peking University, Ph.D. in University of London. His scientific areas of interest are: computational and mathematical biology, combinatorics and applied probability, algorithms and complexity.

Prof. Dr.Shengqing Li

Hunan University of Technology,China

Shengqing Li was born in 1961 in Hunan province, China. He is a Doctor of Engineering, professor, doctoral supervisor and the expert entitled to government special allowance(GSA). Professor Li is the dean in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at Hunan University of Technology. Meanwhile, he is serving as the Chairman of Hunan Engineering Research Center, the academic leader of provincial key discipline as well as the permanent member of Hunan Electrotechnical Society and Hunan Electrical Engineering Society.

Professor Li's extensive experiences with electricity and engineering lead to his broader interest in Power Quality Control Strategy for Distribution Network, New Energy Grid-Connected System Power and Electrical Energy-saving Technology. He currently hosted and participated in 20 important research projects of the Provincial Natural Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation and National Key R&D Program of China etc. He received 9 ministerial Second Prizes and honored prizes of Progress in Science and Technology, Science and Technology Award of China Electrotechnical Society etc. with his papers, researches, 14 Authorized Patents and Software Copyright.

Professor Li is the author of 6 book including 2 of them were published by China Science Press. He has published numerous papers, 45 of which are included by SCI/EI consisting of Proceedings of the CSEE and International Journal of Robotics and Automation etc.

Dr. Jinhui Zeng

Hunan University of Technology, China

Dr. Jinhui Zeng is a Associate Professor & Dean of College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University of Technology. He has received his Ph. D on Electrical Engineering from Hunan University, China in 2013. He has been published more than 20 research papers by leading international publisher like IEEE, etc. Dr. Jinhui Zeng was awarded Third Prize of the 13th Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award of Hunan Provincial Department of Education, the First to complete the Construction and Practice of the "Demand oriented Classify Training School enterprise Collaboration" Postgraduate Training System for Electrical Engineering in 2022, Third Prize of the 12th Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award of Hunan Provincial Department of Education, the second to complete the Research and Practice on the Stereoscopic and Cooperative Training Mode of New Engineering Talents of Electricity Major "Production and Education Integration and Quality Sharing" in 2019, "Young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions" of Hunan Electrotechnical Society in 2020, "Excellent Student" of the 127th Training Class for Department level Cadres in Colleges and Universities of Hunan Province in 2020, etc.


Dr. Zheng Lan

Hunan University of technology, China

Zheng Lan  received the B.S. and Ph.D. degree from the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 2011 and 2017, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at Hunan University of technology. His research interests include microgrid, distributed power generation, power converter and power quality control.


Prof.Dr. Fujun Ma

Hunan University, China

Ma Fujun, Ph.D., is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Hunan University, National Ten Thousand Talents Plan Young Top Talents, Hunan Young Talents, winner of Hunan Excellent Youth Fund, Yuelu Scholar of Hunan University, and IEEE Senior Member. He is a core member of National Engineering Technology Research Center of Electrical Power Conversion and Control ', and concurrently serves as an expert in the comprehensive evaluation database of Hunan Province, an expert in the certification of high-tech enterprises in Hunan Province, a member of the Electrical and Mathematics Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering, a standing member of the Youth Working Committee of the China Power Supply Society, Member of the Youth Working Committee of China Electrotechnical Society, senior member of Guangdong Construction Engineering Green and Prefab Development Association, etc.

His research field is metallurgical special electric power conversion and control. In recent years, he has presided over 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the Hunan Youth Talents Program, 1 project of the Excellent Youth Project of the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation, 1 project of the China-Germany (CSC-DAAD) Postdoctoral Exchange Fund, and 1 key project of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education., etc., and participated in the National Key R&D Program, 973/863 Programs, etc. In recent years, more than 100 related papers have been published in domestic and foreign academic journals such as IEEE, IET, ‘Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering’, ‘Journal of Electrotechnical Technology’, among which as the first author/corresponding author 22 papers have been included in SCI, and 21 Chinese papers have been included in EI; more than 50 national invention patents have been authorized, 19 national invention patents have been authorized as the first inventor. He has won 2014 Second Prize of National Technological Invention Award (ranked 3rd), 2018 National Science and Technology Progress Innovation Team Award, 2013 First Prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award (ranked 4th), 2014 China Patent Gold Award and First prize of Hunan provincial patent (ranked 7th), 2017 Hunan Science and Technology Innovation Award (core), 18th Furong Student Scientific Research Innovation Award and 2017 ‘Hunan Province Excellent Doctoral Dissertation’, etc.

Prof.Francisco de León

New York University, United States

Francisco de León received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. (Hons.) degrees in electrical engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico City, Mexico, in 1983 and 1986, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1992. He has held several academic positions in Mexico and has worked for the Canadian electric industry. He is now a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University.  

He has close to 200 publications including 125 journal papers (over 100 in the IEEE Transactions), 5 book chapters, 14 discussions, 53 conference papers, and 18 patents. These papers have been cited more than 6000 times in Google Scholar. He has graduated (so far) 28 Ph.D. and 28 M.Sc. students and directed the research of 16 postdoctoral fellows and 7 visiting PhD students. Dr. de León is listed in the 2023 edition of Research.com ranking of best scientists in the field of electronics and electrical engineering.

Prof. de León is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery.

Prof. Innocent Kamwa

Laval University, Canada

A full professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Decentralized Sustainable Electricity Grids for Smart Communities at Laval University since September 2020, Dr. Kamwa was previously a researcher at Hydro-Québec's Research Institute (IREQ), where for three decades, he specialized in the dynamic performance and control of power systems from a utility perspective. Prior to his retirement from Hydro-Quebec, he was successively, Chief scientist for the Smart grid Innovation Program, Acting Scientific Director and Head of Power system and Mathematics, responsible for the Hydro-Quebec Network Simulation Centre. He was an Adjunct Associate professor at McGill University and Laval University (1991-2020) and the Product Owner and Developer of three widely used power systems simulation tools, namely EMTP, SimpowerSystems and Hypersim, commercialized by EMP-Alliance, Mathworks and OPAL-RT, respectively. 

Dr. Kamwa received a PhD in Electrical Engineering in 1989 from Laval University, and became a 2005 IEEE Fellow for "contributions to synchronous machines identification and innovations in power grid control". He is both the 2019 IEEE Charles Proteus Steinmetz Technical Field Award , “For sustained leadership in the development of standards for electrical machines”, and the 2019 Charles Concordia Power System Engineering Award, “For contributions in enhancing power grid performance by novel measurement devices, identification techniques, and stability control systems”. He is also a recipient of four IEEE PES best paper prize awards (1998, 2003, 2009, 2012, 2022), and four IEEE PES outstanding working group awards (1998, 2006, 2011, 2013). He is a member of Canada Academy of Engineering and International Member of US National Academy of Engineering “For contributions to adaptive power grid control schemes and synchronous generator testing and standards.”
